VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT 

Committee Volunteers and Event Volunteers join the Stampede in different ways. Event Volunteers express interest through the Calgary Stampede website, whereas Committee Volunteers go through a more formal recruitment and selection process. Committees looking for new volunteers may bring on new members by posting for open positions, networking, or a word-of-mouth process. The Volunteer Recruitment Committee (VRC) supports volunteer recruitment efforts by identifying volunteer recruitment needs and attracting new volunteers. Committees may conduct interviews and/or trial periods with potential candidates. 

NOTE: All individuals must be 18 years of age or over in order to volunteer. Only registered volunteers are eligible to volunteer. For all Committee Volunteers, a New Committee Volunteer placement form must be submitted to Volunteer Services in order for the individual to be considered an official and active Volunteer.
