Each year an operating budget is prepared, submitted and approved for each committee. A budget memo is distributed in advance of the annual budget preparation and guides economic outlook, expectations and process. Managing the committee budget is a collaborative effort between the committee Chair, Vice-Chair(s), the Staff Liaison and the Executive Management team. The Chair is responsible for ensuring the committee stays within the established budget. The Staff Liaison is accountable for the preparation and on-going administration and monitoring of the budget to ensure committee budget is not exceeded. Together, we have a fiscal responsibility to the community.
